Titus Bocseri

Titus Bocseri is Managing Director for Umbrella Solutions – a Private Equity shop in New York – where he is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, structuring and executing investments for various clients.

Titus worked in New York for HSBC – Senior Vice President - and he was heading the strategic initiatives unit in the Global Insurance space – responsible for building a profitable life insurance business via direct and third party distribution of manufactured and co-branded products. In addition, Titus has managed the product portfolio expansion by creating products that resonate well with the underserved middle market consumer.

Prior to that, Titus worked on Wall Street as Vice President in charge of Strategic Development in the Global M&A Department for Willis Group Holdings Limited. His responsibilities include working on deals - sourcing, preliminary review, due diligence, contract negotiations, structuring and execution - with the added task of being in charge of the integration/post-transaction tracking phase.

Before joining Willis Group, Titus was the Corporate Vice President New York Life Insurance Company. He headed the firm's business development group and is responsible for product development (life insurance products and annuities), competitive advantage analysis in the industry, internal M&A and venture capital.

Titus' previous experience includes work in corporate strategy, M&A as well as management consulting in both domestic and international markets. In addition, Titus is holding a adjunct faculty position at Columbia University where he is teaching various courses in corporate strategy and business development in the School of General Studies.

Titus holds a B.S. in Engineering from Military Technical Academy in Bucharest, an M.S. in Technology Management from Columbia University and an MBA from Columbia Business School - concentration on Finance and Economics.
